Unless an individual mailer specifies its own format for your new Earth Class Mail address, please use and distribute the address exactly as written and include your Earth Class Mail number with the "#" symbol as it helps computerized sorting systems process your mail accurately and avoids delaying your mail’s delivery.

If you have only one line for the street address, then you may combine the “Your Name” line with the Earth Class Mail number. Alternatively, you may combine the street or P.O. Box address with the Earth Class Mail number, but some mailing-list software may truncate the Earth Class Mail number, thus potentially delaying the delivery of your mail.

Your Earth Class Mail number will consist of 4 to 6 numbers. Once it is issued to you, it will remain yours for the duration of your account.
